My early years were spent on a family farm in New England-growing and preserving our food using simple timeless methods and ingredients. Many family farms in New England grew almost equal parts food and flowers and we were no exception (many still do!)

My current New England home is surrounded by family farms, orchards and conservation areas where I can still experience the incomparable magic of a New England summer with its early sunrises, lingering sunsets, and ready access to fresh fruits, vegetables & other farm-fresh products from local family farms.

When I became allergic to many commercial soaps, I started making my own, using time-proven methods and simple ingredients like olive oil, coconut oil, and essential oils for fragrance. Wanting something simple and beautiful I worked to create an every day soap that embodied the spirit of a New England family farm.
